Do you use a GPS?
Then this site is just for you, a catalogue of walks, all in GPX format.
Having spent a lifetime rambling I decided to set up this website having amassed a large collection of walks, all saved as GPX in the hope they may be some use to you.
Please note- the GPX files have been generated with Memory-Map 6. Whilst the GPX format is supposed to suit all software that uses it some anomalies still exist. One of which is that Memory-Map can deal with more than one route and track within the same file, others cannot.
As George Orwell states in Animal Farm, 'All men are equal, it's just that some are more equal than others'.
Same with GPX- the supposed ‘universal standard’.
If have a problem load the GPX file first into your GPS, then open the GPX file from your GPS into your favourite mapping software.
These are my working files that we have used and modified over the years. Feel free to use them, but please note, you do so at your own risk.
P.S. This website is best viewed on a laptop screen or larger.
